Kurset vil bygge på boka An Introduction to Statistical Learning (James et al. 2013) Denne finnes i trykt utgave og er dessuten gratis tilgjengelig på nett. Videre finnes det to ulike utgaver, med kode for henholdsvis Python og R.

Machine learning in business: An introduction to the world of data science (Hull 2025) er en lett tilgjengelig introduksjon til temaet. Link til Amazon.
